aaaaahhh the end of april. time for prom, graduating (ALMOST!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRR!), warm weather… and snow, aparrently. its flippin april, and its freakin snowing. i decided to wear shorts this morning……………. baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad idea. maybe mother nature is telling me she doesn’t want to see my fat legs in shorts.

anyways, if the world is getting warmer, it better hurry up, cause global cooling is kicking its butt!

i never want to wear a military uniform again. i’m in rotc at school and have been stuck in two very uncomfortable uniforms that fit a lot better back in august then they do today. i am also watching the alternative ending to “I am Legend” right now. i like it better, it portrays the mutants as more human and just badly sick rather than pshyco freaks who make you jump at inconvenient times. the office is on tomorrow, which is sweet. jim better propose and pam better say yes, cause if they don’t then i’ll be kinda ticked.

thats weird, wordpress changed my dashboard! its an odd combo of blue and orange… my theory is wordpress is prophetically trying to tell me to become a denver broncos fan. i need to become a football fan first…. nice try though!

so the dizzle is we’s gots this sweet group here from pennslyvania (yes, jared, i probably spelled that wrong) called the global school of supernatural ministry. i had to look at the screen to get that right. its been amazing. jess lindahl told me i’m the next todd bently and last night the prophetic word for me was to knock it off…. noooot too sure what to do with that one. anyways the blessing tunnel is still going an hour and a half strong, jim is still completely plowed in the holy spirit, i dont think he’s stopped laughing since we started an hour and a half ago. tara either. i’m not entirly sure the browns should drive themselves home tonight…

yesterday, after work, chris and i decided to go drive around out back where we paintballed last august. i ran over a nail. this story is cooler than it sounds.we got back on the road to get a car wash cause my ride was filthy, when i a) noticed the car was driving all funky like, b) we were tilted down on the front drivers side door, and c) i smelled burning rubber. got outside and, yep, flat tire! awesome!

so chris let me borrow his phone to call the parents, who weren’t thrilled, and then left cause he had to babysit at 6:30. that left me alone on russel avenue on the wrong side of the auto mechanic curve. i knew basically what i was doing, but i could tell i would get to watch the sun go down from under my car. pulled out the jack, put in in a very hard to reach spot that looked like it could take a jack, and laid down to start jacking it up.

have you ever laid under a car on the side of the road while people are going 50 about 5 feet from your face? i was pretty sure that someone was going to plow into my car and kill me.

but a nice man pulled up and pulled out his floor jack. (i was in the process of turning it by hand, around 6 revolutions per minute) he jacked up the car, whipped off the lugnuts, threw my spare on, whipped on the lugnuts, and said there you go buy. he was an amazingly nice guy. it should have taken an hour, it took 15 minutes. miracle # one. i then drove to get a car wash cause i had about a 1 sq foot spot on my windsheild where i could see.

got home and the parents were not thrilled. aparently, going off-roading with your friend whilst you be grounded isn’t cool. so i took the lecture and went repentently on my way. i pulled out my wallet, and there were 2 fives i had no idea where they came from. i had emptied my back pocket at the gas station and they weren’t there. miracle # dos.

skip ahead a day. i go to big o to get my tire fixed/ replaced, dreading yet expecting to pay $100. the guy who helped me was a kid from ROTC at school. free tire fix.

god rocks, i’m kinda convinced.

call it senioritus or whatever you will, but i am fed the heck up with the sioux falls school board and public education in general.

for the previous few weeks, the big debate in sioux falls has been whether or not to cut the current health/PE requirements by 2/3rds. it used to be that students had to have a full year of PE, and (by recently addition) a half semester of health. now, students get to choose whether or not they take a half credit of health or a half credit of PE. it’s nothing short of bipolarity to add a health class requirement and then take it away two years later. but, even better, three years ago, they took away junk food sold in schools to “better the lifestyles of students” or whatever.

soooo let me get this straight. students should be more fit than they are right now. lets take away junk food (or “real” food, as we know it at school) in an effort to battle childhood obesity.

i’m ok with that. logical move. i miss my fries…

back to the school board train of thought: good, junk foods gone. nooow, lets take away a FULL CREDIT of physical education. that makes since… dont eat nacho cheese, but you can take 5 foods credits and skip the PE credits all together.

heres whats going to happen. i’m a big guy. lets say i’m only a sophmore….(thank god its not true…) weelll, PE is slightly humiliating to a man of my… girth. i think i’ll sit in a classroom and slack off and learn about health rather than live it out.

dear sioux falls school board: YOUR DECISION FIXES NOTHING. YOU JUST ADDED TO THE PROBLEM YOU’RE TRYING TO FIX.

i dont even have the energy to rant on public education in general… more to come on that later.
