RANDOM THOUGHT #1:

i haven’t blogged in a while. i’m kind of just a little bit swamped with homework. you know its bad when you’re counting on thanksgiving break to eliminate some of the back-log.

RANDOM THOUGHT #2:

thanksgiving break! i head home in exactly 3 days, 4 hours, 58 minutes and 10 seconds as of the last time i checked my countdown widget. btw, i have three of them. one for thanksgiving (aforementioned timeframe), one for christmas (16 days and 20 hours), and the end of obama’s first and hopefully only term (1524 days, 1 hour, and 56 minutes. whos counting? i am.) i’m sure there are other things that i have to look forward to between now and 1 pm central standard time, january 20th, 2013 as well, but i couldn’t find another countdown widget and the ones i have do not support multiple countdowns. over thanksgiving, i’ve got my work cut out for me. i am completely offsetting this weeks homework for song of solomon so that i can finish last weeks homework for(my itunes genius playlist just placed bee gees after a rick pino song with out either my consent or knowledge of it. way to go, “genius”) last week and some practicum assignments that i’m behind on. i’m also putting together the memorial dvd for my grandmothers funeral. it will have a slideshow and the message, music and album artwork. thank you ilife.

there is no concievable reason, either in sin or in righteousness, that a mans voice should ever go nearly as high as barry gibbs can

RANDOM THOUGHT #4: here’s the politcal skinny that i percieve if god doesn’t intervene, which i believe he will: with obama becoming president, conservative america is going to be in exhile for a while. forget turning roe v wade around anytime soon, that dinosaur stevens is going to throw in the towel on january 21st, and obama might as well just resurrect margaret sanger to replace him. as much as the militant gay community in CA may hope, their votes can’t be counted for two votes a peice just because they’re gay and “discriminated” against. the nation is beginning to go into an uproar over this, and the church, whether she likes it or not, is the instigator. we might as well accept it, folks. if they hated jesus, they’re going hate us. in response to some comments on my last post about working with the liberal church, here’s my well thought out rebuttal: my deepest convictions, which differ from your’s, have become veiwed as irrelevant. for me, peace is now a sin. i know that abortion is a sin and that it greatly grieves the Lord, and i am not going to rest until i see it abolished. this is my war. yes, god raises up kings and brings them down, this is true at the end of the day. but hosea 6:4 says, “they raised up kings, but not by me”. what this man stands for cannot be blessed by the church. there is a difference between loving someone and blessing them. i still believe that obama is the wrong man for the job.
